My repurposed ugly lamp!!!

Stopped at Goodwill on the way home and picked up a few more vintage items that screamed out for me...along with some thread and floss to stitch with. If you go, keep your eyes peeled for those cross stitch kits people buy and never use! They have tons of colors of floss and not scads of it! Very cool finds today!
But this lamp was most fun.
$3.99...CAN YOU BEAT IT???
First picture taken at 4:10 pm

Got out the scissors and cut the lamp shade off and kept the skeleton. The paper peels off the top, just have to be careful!
Second Picture taken at 4:17 pm

I hung all my embellies using the curtain clips from target. This was a twenty minute project!
Third picture taken at 4:30 pm.

The last photo was taken with the lamp/clip them up on my scrapping table!
Now mind you, I kept the finial on top loose and it spins! I am in the middle of clipping up about 20 more sets of sticker letters. I am using colored paper clips for all of them. Otherwise the curtain clips would become costly. This cost me 3.99 as I had the clips and paper clips.

What an inexpensive way to use something that was so hidious as it was all by it's lonesome! I got this idea from The Girls over at Shop Crop Suey! Then of course, after sharing with my incredibly intelligent All Moments Remembered Girls...I tweaked this sucker out!
Now, I have to go take a shower...I smell like the Goodwill store. For those of you confused...how about a visual. Your grandmothers attic on a hot hot hot day!
Til then!

What a great idea!!! The spinners they sell for that purpose cost a fortune! Yours is green, too! I could totally see me getting out the alcohol inks for that!

Wow, so cool!!

Is the lamp heavy? it seems like it would get top-heavy with all those stickers...

Awesome! I like Casey's idea of using the alcohol inks on it. That would be soooo cool!

Awesome, Jessica.....Love yours...... love the height...not too low to be in the way...

I was trying to figure out a way to add one to my scrapspace and decided to hang a lampshade from my ceiling..... Just have been too busy to do.....
