timeless...

I absolutely fell in love with these photos the moment I saw them! I want these photos in my scrapbook because they have such a deep meaning to me. Maybe it is because my grandmother was taken away from us at such a young age and I feel a certain connection with her through these photos. As a mother myself, I know the love she felt for her baby. The fact that this baby is my mother, well I am sure I do not need to explain the reason I love these photos so much!

It was July 23, 1946.
My grandmother, Esther, with my mother, Deborah.
My mother was three months old here. She was 6 weeks premature due to a scheduled C Section. (She doesn't look like a premie! hahaha) My grandmother was Rh-. My mother would have had an older brother but he was stillborn due to not having a test for Rh-.

I needed to paint under the word timeless with Red!!! UGH! Oh well, isnt it amazing what you see after you photograph it!?

This is such a beautiful layout! Like your grandmother and Veronica who posted above, I am RH- also. I'm so thankful to be a mom at this time, with so many advances in medicine. I have been scrapping pictures of 3 of my Dad's 5 brothers who each died at young ages -- all due to common ailments/diseases that could have been treated had they had today's medical knowledge. So sad!
