I love my name!

Last night, we ordered pizza...AND sat in front of the olympics and ate! My children LOVE breaking our dinner table rule! Well, what does that have to do with my name? Not much....but I am getting there! My husband brought home some Diet Mountain Dew. Soda is a treat here. In the south we call it soda, in the north we call it pop. I have been here so long, soda comes right out. I do not call it pop anymore. That's what a balloon does! hahaha
Back to the soda:
Michael says to me, "Honey, your having Mountain Dew now??? That's loaded with caffeine!" I replied, "I know, but when it comes time to sleep I will." Well, I sat down at my scrapping table, completed my family blog and then pushed the computer aside. I was inspired suddenly to create. It started with my name and it was going to be a layout void of a photo. This page was going to be about me. Things just began to fall in line and it was as if I had created this page before. The more i worked at it, the more it felt like everything I grabbed was supposed to be there. In the quiet of night, I began to think about why it felt so deja vueish. Then it dawned on me I had dreamed of creating this page. Which got me to thinking. Could it be possible the pages I was creating{as it seems to flow so easy} are actually creating themselves in my dreams and my subconscious minds pulls those images forth during my working hours!?!
Nah, i am sure it was just the Mountain Dew! hahahaha
This page has some very emotional/meaningful pieces included. First, I will share with you the latest endeavour!

Ok, yesterday I totally completed teeny ATC's! Just on a whim for some friends of mine! I loved them. Then my dear blog friend, Bree pointed me in the direction of an owl ATC swap after seeing the little ones I made...well I had to transform my idea from teeny to ATC size, 2 1/2 x3 1/2! I loved how they turned out!

Mini ATCs!!!

I found this mini deck of cards in my daughters room whilst I was cleaning! No, Jay did not get ahold and swallow these. Although, what he did swallow is still a mystery!

I scarfed them up so quickly and brought them to my scrap table!
They are 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches.
The back side says, "Hoo's thinking of you? Me!!"
I used MM vintage sea foam paint, Stazon-Brown, an inkadinkado stamp from the mini $ stamps at JoAnn's, and a sakura white gel pen for the eyes. The highlight of these...I actually got my sewing machine to work...no more hand stitching...at least not as often! Woo hoo!!!! PS No making fun of my poor sewing! I am learning! hahahaha

Friends Mini Album

Simple and easy but full of Friendship quotes for a new "in real life friend" of mine!
This went to Wendy, aka Cheeky at All Moments Remembered! She was in town visiting her husband who is working in the area! We had a great day! I picked her up at her hotel and we went to lunch at Cafe Mia! After, we went over to the Millenia Mall and then on to IKEA! We got lost a couple times in there! But, I found a lazy susan for 7.99 and 48 clips for the clip it up lamp! I believe I am going to alter the lazy susan...stay tuned for that one....LOL!
I used glossy accents to get the letters to stick and the flower too! I used
Basic Grey Euphoria
Bazzill Basics
Flamingo Stamp that my cousin sent me
Stazon and color pencils for the stamp
Random ribbon, stickers, epoxy buttons
Basic Grey Sultry rubons on front and back
As always, click on the picture to make it come alive!

All Moments Remembered Online Crop

Here are a few of my pages completed for challenges.
The first came together based on the colors of the outfit. Not to mention I love those colors! I hand ripped the flourish! It's all kind of rippy, but I like the look. Some may not! But, again I digress...I scrap for me. Oh, yeah and my family of course! LOL As always, click on the pictures to make them come alive!!!

This next layout was for a challenge that said, NO extra embellishments. I liked the simplicity and journaling. But it looks so undone to me! LOL This is my Jakey Boy!
This third challenge required ripping, crinkling, and sewing. My kind of challenge!!! I chose this paper based on the green in the picture...and piggies. Who can go wrong with Piggies????

Vintage Doilie...and plastic...what?

This layout was inspired by the term, "I think I can..." So I wanted trains! Then I remembered this old paper I had by Basic Grey. I began looking through my stuff. I opened my bag of vintage finds and this doilie that matched the paper absolutely jumped out at me. Now mind you, I was going for a simple "scrapbook" page...but I fear my "style" is beginning to take shape and form. The simple classic look is not me so much. It might not be the most popular "style", but I don't scrapbook to be popular, I scrapbook for me and my family first!
With that said, here is what I came up with. The light washed it out a little this morning. But it is soft and babyish!
As always, click on the pic to make it come alive!

PP: Oh Baby Boy! Porter
Vintage Doilie(SP?)
white cardstock mat
plastic faom packaging material
calendar given in swap
sakura glaze pen
Aqua Stickles
Ble thread for stitching
MM blue letters
Dymo label maker
